Purpose

This policy sets out how Alyvon conducts assessment and issues certification, so that learners, employers and regulators know exactly what an Alyvon certificate represents.

Assessment design

Assessments may include unit quizzes, practice quizzes, timed certification examinations, and theory or essay responses requiring assessor review. Question counts, duration, marks, pass thresholds and attempt limits are configured per course and displayed on the course page before enrolment.

Examination conditions

Examinations are timed, with a visible countdown, and are submitted automatically when time expires. Answers are autosaved during the attempt. Randomisation of questions and answer options is applied where configured. Learners must complete assessments without unauthorised assistance.

Grading

Objective questions are graded automatically. Theory responses are graded by an authorised Alyvon assessor against a published rubric and released within 72 hours of submission.

Pass thresholds

Each course has a configured pass threshold. Courses classified as safety-critical require a full score before any certificate is issued. Where a safety-critical course is failed, retakes are permitted up to the configured limit after mandatory review of the failed units.

Results and records

Attempt records, scores, statuses and permitted feedback are retained for academic and audit purposes and are visible to the learner. Where a learner was enrolled by a sponsoring organisation, results may be visible to that organisation's authorised representatives.

Certification

A certificate is issued when the configured academic and payment requirements have been met. Certificates record the learner's name, the course or programme, the issue date and a unique certificate number, and may be downloaded subject to configured permissions. Programme-level certification is issued after all required constituent courses are complete.

Verification

Every certificate can be verified on Alyvon's public verification page using its unique number, which shows the holder's name, the course or programme, the issue date and the current status including any revocation.

Correction, reissue and revocation

Alyvon may correct a certificate issued with an error, reissue a corrected certificate, and revoke a certificate issued in error, obtained in breach of the academic integrity requirements, or where revocation is required by law or a regulator. Revoked certificates show as revoked on the public verification page.

Recommended refresher

Alyvon recommends refresher training every twenty-four months. Organisations may configure their own expiry and refresher rules for their staff.

Appeals

A learner may appeal an assessment outcome by writing to info@alyvon.com within 14 days of result release, stating the grounds. Appeals are reviewed by an assessor who was not involved in the original grading, and the outcome is communicated in writing.
